THIS IS WHO WE ARE

This is what we do for the joy of the King,
For His peaceable Kingdom,
For a world in despair.
And this is why we bring any hope we can give,
Any bread from the table,
Any touch of His hand.
This is what we do.
This is where we go.
This is why we sing.
This is how we live.
This is who we are.

Me Thru the Years

Guess who's been scanning pictures again?  Well, I have a WHOLE bunch of them, so thought I post a few of moi (and one of my dad to show a little resemblance.) The one above was taken the year before Kristi was born.  I was serving as the preaching minister at the Eau Gallie Christian Church in Melbourne, FL. (No, I'm not being robbed--this was how we used to "lead worship" back in the day of "song leading.")  We moved from Melbourne to Johnson Bible College the summer of 1975; Kristi was born that October.

This picture shows my dad. Here he is
with his younger brother, Paul.  This was taken
NEARLY 100 YEARS AGO!  (Dad was born May 2, 1905)

These two pictures are of me in
1st and 2nd grade.  Although I
wasn't the spitting image of my dad
I definitely see some similarities...
perhaps if I weren't smiling we'd look more alike.

This was my sophomore picture from
college.  It got a little beat up being in
my mother's photo album.

These two pictures were taken the same
day as the one at the top.  A guy in the
Eau Gallie church wanted to do a photo shoot
of Lyn and me, so these are some of the results.
I used to HATE playing Hammond organs--now
they're the hottest thing.

And here I am now...standing in front of our
"former" kitchen.

this is weird coming from your daughter---but the first picture---you were a babe!

I love the picture of Grampa too...

I agree...you are quite a looker. But I am a tad bit disappointed that none of the "pudgy" pictures made it. You posted my "pudgy" pictures for all to see....so let's see some of yours! Or I might just have to sneak in your stash and post some of my own!

very fun. i was also wondering if it was strange to think you looked cute in that first picture. but then i realize that lyn is ten times as hot as you are so i think it's appropriate. :) it is no wonder you have beautiful children and grandchildren.

love the one of your dad too.

KT. impossible for you to be pudgy. i guess it is a relative term...
