Well, I'm sure all of you are sick to death of hearing about our kitchen, so GOOD NEWS!! -- This is the last entry talking about it!!!
Anyway, I'm posting these before/after photos to show the dramatic change we've been blessed to experience over the last four weeks. (Demo was October 15; completion was today--November 10. That's pretty amazing, I think!) The ONLY thing left is the installation of the range hood. We can function fully without it, so for all practical purposes we're done!

The picture at the top is the way the kitchen looked when we were "house shopping" back in 2002. I think this was taken during the "walk-thru" after we had entered escrow. Anyway, it was definitely before we redecorated/painted the rest of the house.

Don and Lyn --- it is beautiful!!! i love the granite. i'm sure you are happy to have it done. looks like it was well worth the wait! :)
Looks great! When do we eat? Just kidding! The cabinets above the range came out right? I think you mentioned that in an early post, but the photos don't show that angle...
Gorgeous! Does it give your house that "new house" smell? I love that. I can't believe how quickly it all came together - very cool!
John, you're right. We ripped those puppies out! But adding the new ones at the far end actually gave us more storage than the overheads did.
And Heidi...no "new" smell. We're just glad to have gotten the glue smell out of the house--the stuff they use to attach the granite is HORRIBLE!! yikes.
When the drywall first went in it smelled new. Then the paint obliterated that. The fridge smells new when you open it...that's nice! :)
What a fabulous renovation! Did you guys do the plans yourself?
Obliterated - I love that word. Enjoy your NEW kitchen! Lovely!
Simply stunning. I'm hungry. I'm coming over!
Dad---are you so excited? The comments are back to a big font? (At least on my computer)
